RENTING IN MALTA
Fine & Country Malta provides a personalised and friendly service for lessors and lessees seeking assistance in the rental market. We aim to build pleasant relationships between tenants and landlords, ensuring that the tenancy period is hassle free and comfortable for both parties.
Local rental rates are extremely reasonable and we always have a good selection on offer. Apartments, villas, and character homes are available in most price ranges for long let (minimum 6 months). Most properties come fully furnished and equipped with all appliances and amenities. Water, electricity and other services are borne by the tenant on a consumption basis, and up-to-date meter readings are taken at the commencement of the rental.
Rent is paid in advance, and a deposit equivalent to 1 month's rent is lodged with the lessor to cover against damages and breakages beyond the normal wear and tear. This deposit is refundable, and is either repaid at the termination of the lease, or offset against pending bills as agreed with the lessor.
Estate agency fees are success-based and are equivalent to half a month's rent from both parties. This is a one-off fee irrespective of the term of the tenancy.
